Build Date/Window Stickers

Anyone still have the Window Sticker? The original owner of my '92 saved it and I have it in a safe place.



Lots of interesting facts. My truck was built in June @ the Mexico local and is described on the window sticker as a 1992 model.



Do I have the VERY FIRST 1992 model truck? If so, it just came up for sale. Who wants to begin the bidding @ $15,000. oo Oo.

I still have a sticker in my glove box... but last year when I was researching the injection pump recall thing, I learned some very interesting facts about my truck. Things the sticker wouldn't indicate.

Like it was built in early Aug 1990 (foget the date without looking it up) and sat on a dealer's lot until October 1991 !

Wasn't even used as a demo because it had like nothing for mileage when it did sell.

Think one would sit on a lot for more than one year today?????

I remember test driving a new 93 W250, CC, Getrag right about the time that the 94s were about to hit the lot. I didn't want a new truck payment, so passed on it. I got my 90 several months later. I did keep an eye on the one I drove, and it sat for a very long time. Once the 2nd Gens were out there, the GOOD trucks didn't seem as appealing.



If only I could get that one again.

I have the window sticker for mine. Just looked at it, build date is 3/92. Then I looked on the warranty book: it's written in "Warranty Start Date(In-Service Date)" March 27 - 92, the paint was probably still drying. Mileage at delivery: 14. The dealer code is right under it, for a minute here I thought it said mileage was 57769



Anyway, total sticker price was $21,177. 00 Sounds like a heckuva deal.



edit: oh yeah, Door jamb sticker says "made in usa"

Mine's one of the last 93's. Built on 6-28-93 in Mexico and sold on 7-20-93. The 94's should have been hitting the lot soon after that.

I very nearly bought a new Dodge in 93. If I did it would have been a 5. 9gas/5 spd. At least that's what I was looking at. I'm glad I didn't do it 'cause I wasn't making much money and it would have been a stripper (not in a good way either :-laf ).

My friend bought an '03 base 4x4 2dr 5sp that had been sitting on the lot for over a year ("The Dinosaur" as he told the salesman!) for $24,000. At my weaker moments wish they had two.

My 93 has the 5. 9 and a five speed, unfortunately it's the WRONG 5. 9!
