bulb check on startup

My dad just got and 06 and was asking me where the wait to start light is on the dash, i turned the key and looked at the lights but i did not see any wait to start, i could not find a picture of where it would be located at in the manual anyone have a pic or can tell me where it is? i did not see water in fuel light either?

Have not noticed either on the 06's but haven't had a reason to look. Water in fuel will set a dtc and turn on the check engine light... ... .

Bulb check

Don't know about the '06, but in my 'o3, holding the trip odometer button down while turning the key to 'on' will march everything in the dash through a self check. If there is a light, it should show there.

I believe it is under the speedometer in the same area as the check engine emissions light. It will only come on if it is cold enough for the fuel rail to need heating prior to startup. In warmer weather, it doesn't light and you can start it right up. When it does light, it is a light that has motion to it (not stationary).



I believe I am remembering correctly. I will check my truck after work to make sure I am correct.
