Since the heat this downloader produces is supposted to be less than a box, motor/turbo failures should be very minimal.

yes indeed. running in the performance program and way cool temps. i expect i will be able to use that program for all my towing. so far this pup rocks. tomarrow will try the extreme setting and very soon will hook up and tow. just playin around and am very happy with the power. usable power. i like havin good power and bein able to watch the road and not the pyro, and i dont even have the outlook,,,,yet.



the ease of installation is awesome. no crawling under rig to fight with them hard to get to plugs and inventin cuss words



one thing when i 1st downloaded the program i was alarmed that the brake indicator and abs lite was on. on the 03 models this stays on for 4 starts as they do when the dlr does a flash also



also,,,,,,,,,,,,someone posted on another thread that the pup didnt work on his 05. dodge changed the program enuff that it wont work but i was told the powerpup will be avail for the 05 in a few weeks. the present unit works on 03,04, and 04. 5. the 05 is different enuff that they cant have that program in same downloader when the program for 05 is perfected.



no codes with this box either and was able to erase the p0700 code that the smartcontroller set

thats what i will be waiting for... i will admit I am a HP junky... I will put up with a bug here and there for a the big HP gains, kind of like tolerating a high-lift cam in a race car, but it is worth it for the power



If this is a 150+ hp box (like some have dyno'ed), things just got interesting... Especially because of the PRICE!

According to the powers that be bullydog, They will have software upgrades to accomodate changes from the factory. The question is the time to incorporate this into the program. Obviously the better the new whiz-bang dodge reflash will get the quicker upgrade to the Power Pup's software. I understand that they should be available via the internet as opposed to having to send it back to Bullydog. More concrete info will be avail in the future on this.

Most of the time any glitches to the download can be fixed by the user either by himself( redoing the download) or being talked thru it by a tech at Bully Dog. In the off-chance this doesn't work, Bully Dog will overnight a new downloader with recovery software immediatly. Bully Dog has a 30 day return policy and the last thing they want is a unhappy customer who could flame away on this or other Diesel forums.



When do you want to get on that rear axle seal we talked about?

Tried it on my tech's truck today and it is AMAZING, the truck is BONE STOCK, it will spind the rear tires all the way from takeoff until 2700 RPMS in 2nd gear, yes even after the 1-2 shift, it is awesome, however, it does smoke ALOT until the turbo catches up with the fuel. We also put one on a customers truck and stacked with the Quad, it stacked great, without any problem, and temps were cool

Koopdaddy, first post 4:31 PM and techs trucks runs good, second pst 4:34 PM and warning, box kills converter. Who would have thought smoking the tires through two gears to 2700 would be hard on a stock convertor?

yep,,,,,,,,,,,i can see where the extreme level may be hard on a STOCK convertr if driven in that manner. hard on tire life too



they need to change the name of the highest level from extreme to insane Oo. i always try to go easy on the tires but running the pup on the highest setting it is hard to not abuse em. this is a fun little toy dang neck hurts from snappin it back under acelleration Oo. scary was one definition used by a very impressed passenger who now is lusting after a power pup



in the insane level there is a bit more smoke but it cleans up very well when the boost comes on



what amazes me is how cool the pyro stays. playin and doin hi speed runs from a rolling start up to 100 mph the needle stays very reasonable barely reaching 1275 or so at an elev of 3000 foot with a 9300 lb dually. [true i do have the dd trbo but also have dd2s that add a small bit of temp] this is on exteme setting guess the combination of timing, duration, and pressure all in moderation work well together



twas a fun day did i mention this puppy rocks. now gotta hook up one of the trlrs and see how it does

Since you seem to be one of the closest to this product can you tells us how much timing advance is being used? Is timing and duration directly controlled and advanced, aka TST PMCR, or is it just fooled via pressure and a false map program, aka Ramifier?

If this box is used on a 04 ca 235 it seems to me that on the high setting it would be similar to a ho or 600 set on low. Hence the trans should be ok. Sounds logical to me.
