How does it make its' power? Duration, timing, pressure, or a comination of the three? I did a search and saw that the torque dog raises rail pressure, but I couldn't find anything about the downloader.

50 hp setting is timing and a bit of duration



90 hp setting adds a bit more duration to this and 30hp worth of pressure increase



130 setting adds even more duration and a total of 50hp prssr.



good combination for reasonable temps and SAFE prssr increase. very happy w/ the dl'er on my 03

How sure are you about this? I talked to a tech from bullydog and he told me pressure with a little timing and that they didn't have anything for an 04. 5 or 05 with a six speed. wasn't too impressed with the converstation.

Well I know that's false, I have a BDDL on our 05 6sp. I got one with the crazy larry extreme program, all i have to say is don't try to do a third gear burnout with a stock clutch. definately livened the truck up alot.

The 03 box works on 04. 5's also.

The 05 box is separate.

I love my bdpp, after I did my intake and exhaust upgrades I felt like I lost power, got the downloader and boy did it awake it up.

How sure are you about this? I talked to a tech from bullydog and he told me pressure with a little timing and that they didn't have anything for an 04. 5 or 05 with a six speed. wasn't too impressed with the converstation.

dam sure. i was told by phillip himself. sounds as if what you are speaking of is the 'rapid power' which has timing and pressure.

Muddymess- I'm sorry I don't know anyone over there so, "philip" don't mean anything to me I guess I always talk to the wrong person. I always end conversations with them with more questions than when I called. I definatly asked about the power pup downloader last call and was told they were working on the 05 6 speed but only had it for the automatic currently???? how do you get to the person who really knows over there. ? no offense intended just my honest experience. Do the 05 power pup downloaders work the same way as on your 03 regarding timong,pressure and duration ? Thanks,,,,

phillip is one of the owners and has his hand in the designing of the pup. of course often he is hard to reach. id call buddy who is one of the ones who developed the dl'er and he can tell ya all the poop on the powerpup including some of the newest updates and upgrades and info on the crazy larry program

Muddy- Thanks! questions all answered and they do have one for an 05 with the NV5600 but not the 05. 5 with the g-56 6 speed yet. I was told no pressure on the two lowest settings and about 30hp worth on the extreme setting and more of all for the crazy larry program. Is this your understanding. Very interesting stuff, thanks again!!
