What I can't figure out is the code thing. I have run the Torque Dog for about two weeks now, never seen a code. Have tried lugging it on setting #2 and so forth.

Getting ready to tow 1000 miles early August, will be pulling a medium load (about 12K) and will advise how this does. Certainly if it's going to set codes or slip the clutch, it should do it then.

Well that should be easy to validate -- if the low pressure side isn't up to snuff, then the high pressure rail system is also not at the desired pressure. visions of cavitation or fuel starving come to mind a la VP44? So it sounds like we need fuel pressure gauges in the 03s as well! Hate to have to measure the high pressure side directly, but the low pressure LP side sounds like a good candidate.

There are major modifications to the common rail and fuel delivery system to get more power from big injectors. With a box adding 150 hp (Bullydog) you will generaly see 40 hp increase with 100 hp injectors.
See what I mean!!!!

You might have to do alot more than just a lift pump. Rumor has it that the restriction is in the common rail not the lift pump. Common rail could be running out of room for that much fuel. Pressures are fine at top rpm's. WOT runs I still see 12 psi. Inside the common rail you can create a vacuum with big injectors.

Back from the strip

I guess I did alright. I had a lot of 15. 0, two 15. 00, and one 14. 96. My best MPH was 88. 81. My best 60' was a 1. 93. The way I figure, I gained almost 150 rwhp with this box. The clutch is holding great. Launched in 4x4 foot to the floor, and then let out the clutch when it was time to. I even squeaked my 315/70/17 BFGs a few times.

Stock truck best run 18. 06 at 74 around 200 rwhp

EZ Edge best run 15. 9 at 84 around 290 rwhp

Bully Dog best run 14. 96 at 88. 81 around 350 rwhp

What really bugs me about this box is how it totally looses power after a shift. Your back to almost stock power until boost comes up or something and then you can feel it kick in. Or if you are cruising down the road in level 3 at about 70, and you punch it, and it does nothing for a while, then bang you have power. And it's not always the same, sometimes it works better than other times. I guess I'll call bully dog and see what they say. But the power does come on with this box at about 1525 on level 3, and in level 2 it waits until about 1950 rpms.

I did a few hours of testing with and without a full 28 foot gooseneck this weekend with this box.

First off, to keep in line with the thread title I still don't have any problems with the clutch slipping. Now if I could only keep the tires from spinning then we would be in business!

Swayse, if you will keep a close eye on the EGT's I'm guessing that Bully Dog has decided to bring the power in later for a few reasons. First off the turbo is more in it's peak so EGT's are not skyrocketing and second that from the dyno graphs I have seen they are adding where the stock programming was lagging behind and trying to do it safely.
