Immediatly off idle and a additional hit around 1350 rpms. I started to spin the clutch at that rpm in 5th gear at around 1/2 throttle going up a hill. (I forgot to turn off my volumizer) The volumizer does not change any of the feuling curve just adds a lot to it.

This and my EZ should make my 48RE squeel like a pig :-laf ... . Gotta love smoking tires at stop lights pulling 6000lbs worth of jeep on back... I WANT MORE :D Oo. :D



Does it leave a time stamp??? on the computer??? Would it cancel out my "High Idle" feature???



How about gas mileage?? I am hearing the TST does actually help a little.
 
just installed downloader with my ez , crazy power. egts havent went over 800, and boost off the map, only have 35 lb guage.
 
Ram03, what where your ETG's before the down load?? That sounds really low to me, especially if you are pre turbo... . Heck I can kiss 1300 on WOT if I run it hard.

egts about 600 before download, pyro after turbo, & havent keept foot out of it yet, having to much fun to check overhead mpgs.
 
Ram 03 - EGT's when?? That's about the most vague description of your egts possible. First off - pre or post turbo? Secondly, under what conditions did you record those EGT's? The most helpful test that most of us are wondering about is likely an empty 0-80mph run or so... or 1/4 mile run. We want to see the MAX egt you can hit with it. If you are pre-turbo and all you show is 800, your gauge is broken or you are just crusing along 70mph on the highway. At lunch today on my truck I was able to reach 1100 with the pedal completely floored and going from 0-75.
 
just went out and played some more, here goes, after turbo pyro, edge on level 4, downloader on extreme, as fast as i could shift gears 0-100 egts hit 1000, all this in about a 1/4 mile. let off not sure if is going to hold up, so far so good. ran downloader on extreme with edge unpluged, alot better throdle responce & low end than the egde box. currantly runing edge on level 4 & downloader on 40 hp tow , throdle to touchy both maxed out.

Way to go buddy, keep us up to date... Oo. Sounds like you are having a blast, how bad is your clutch letting loose. Do you have any other mods?? Air box, exhaust, etc???? You have a boost gauge??? How much boost??? If the Edge box tricks boost and this program uses boost to adjust timing, then I wonder if you can unplug the map plug but leave in the fueling plug from the edge box? :confused: ?? Because the edge box will only allow the computer to see (what) like 20 psi of boost, I wonder if you are getting the full bang out of the program????

clutch felt like it was starting to shutter, backed out of it , dont want to replace clutch yet. yes i have all mods, intake, exaust, need turbo & injectors. as for boost only have 35 lb guage, but almost comes around to the peg. will have to play around with different configurations, will keep posted.
 
after turbo should be the only place to moniter egts. a friend of mine has a mack truck 550 hp 1800 flbs & pulls 105,500, guess where the pyro probe is... ... ... after!

Ram03, NO,NO,NO,... ... ..... The only place to read EGT is PRE-TURBO. Unless you have an inside track to new pistons, maybe a block... ... ... .
 
Come'on guys, don't get off the subject :rolleyes: ... we have Ram03 here, that is willing to play with different set-ups and reports back to us quickly ;) ...



Who's cares if you like chocolate or vanilla, just keep to the subject at hand and don't :-{} that will carry this topic off on a "been there, done that" direction.



Keep this going in a good (on topic) informative direction... Because this thing sounds like the new "sliced bread"... . anyone have any torque numbers for this unit????
