All other factors being the same it still equals a 212 horse gain. What I and a lot of others want to see is a dyno on a stock truck before and after the DL. Same truck, same day, same dyno. That would put this all to rest. Every report of numbers with the DL that I have seen have been from trucks with other power enhancing mods. I haven't seen one yet with just the DL and nothing else.

lmills - When are you going to dyno, again? Maybe we could meet up. I'd like to see what this thing does for my truck

Hey Jim, I am going to try to go up within the next couple weeks. Usually you have to schedule a time a week or two in advance to get in up there. Shoot me a PM if you want to set a time

I have never made a remark as to the validity of the 212 HP gain. I just stated that In My Humble Opinion, 234 HP seemed low. As for the BD DL being around the same power as a TST. I have a 235 HP SO California truck. I had been told that they have seen somewhere near 225 Hp increase on a Ca truck. That just levels the playing field for guys like me. TST only offers 150 HP increase on a SO CA truck. Plus I had an EZ on there that was on level 6(85 HP). I still feel like my truck had more power that my 450 HP'd 01.

I never ment to ruffle any feathers.

Trust me, no feathers ruffled here. Life is to short. I just wanted to make sure we were all looking at it from the same point of view. I have been proven wrong numerous times. If I am wrong, I just want to know why. All I was saying is what I have seen before my own eyes. I was dissapointed to say the least last year when I was expecting to have one of the highest HP stock trucks there. I got it handed to me by my own. :D

I just want to see some real baseline numbers for the DL. I think it's great for everyone if there is another high HP box on the market. Competition among manufacturers is always good for the consumers.

fwiw my truck (04 555) dynoed 237/437 when it was bone stock with a mere 250 miles on it. Another 04 555 dynoed right after me and that truck made exactly the same numbers. These runs were at a dyno day on a Dynojet 248c. The TST PMCR, Edge EZ, and twins have added the extra 319 hp since then :)

it does seem the true bang for buck is for the peopl with the SO cummins...

Ca edition or not, the SO is making the biggest gains, that makes my think the stack of the DL'er and the TST on a SO may put the SO on a level playin field with a TST'ed HO motor

I bet a SO w/ 50hp tow program and the TST might max out at the same HP level as an HO with only TST ??

Gypsyman,

That's my plan when I dyno. Stock setting and each of the sttings on the DL. Truck has an AFE intake, and straight-piped. No other mods. Dyno'ed in Aug at 259/474, bone stock.

lmills - sent you a PM

Man, I can't wait to see your numbers. That will kill 99% of the speculation and doubts.

Speaking of killing doubts, I called Bullydog and they are going to have someone attend the DynoDay at "Mustang Muscle" on Nov 7th, here in High Ridge,MO (probably a few local distributors, i guess)

I told them that would be the best way to sell up MO folk, you know, we are the "show-me" state -- SO, SHOW ME!!!

I will be working on a top secret project to test all boxes by with a ligit magazine. DYnojet and Mustang. All boxes on 1 truck. Both dynos same day. It will be published. Truck will be bone stock 03 CA SO..... My wifes..... you guys better not tell her what I'm doing. . Hehehehe..... She'll kill me!!!!:D

Is anyone testing on the 04. 5s? If so, perhaps their findings could be incorporated with the 03-04s. Hopeful.
