The Dog Days of Summer Truck Event
Aberdeen, ID, (March 24, 2003)…Bully Dog Technologies, a leading manufacturer of performance parts and accessories for diesel-powered pickups, announces The Dog Days of Summer Truck Event to be held Friday, June 27 and Saturday, June 28, 2003 in Aberdeen, ID.
The event is free to the public. This first annual event is the definitive all diesel-powered truck event, giving owners of Ford, Chevy and Dodge diesel pickups the opportunity to test the limits of their modified vehicles on the track and on the dyno. Two major events are planned:
The Dog Pull Event – Entrants to this event will participate in a sled pull competition. Each diesel pickup will be separated into classes by weight and horsepower. This will give each participant the chance to compete fairly against similar powered pickups. Cash prizes and trophies will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Sign-up fee is $30.
Bully Dog’s Dog House Dyno – A mustang dynamometer will be used to test performance at 2,500 and 4,500 rpm for horsepower and torque. Each participant will get two runs. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive trophies and cash prizes. Sign-up fee is $30.
Pre-registration is required. If you wish to participate in both events the entry fee with be $50 for both. Camping and lodging is available nearby for the weekend.
