sounds like this box does not have very much adjustability like the edge comp. (1x5,2x5,3x5,4x5,5x5,etc. ) are there any plans to make a box with such adjustability?

There is not as much punch off the bottem as the EZ. It does outpull it very quickly. I have two SO 5 speed trucks. One with the EZ and one with the Bullydog. Well the wife is out of town and by buddy and I had a couple of drag races. Him in the EZ truck first and then in the Bully dog truck. Bullydog pulled just as good off the bottem but when we hit fourth gear..... It beat the EZ hands down. That EZ was on level 6



As for the adjustablility of the box. I don't see why you would need a level 3X3. There is not a problem with smoke. In fact I have a hard time seeing any smoke with it on level 2. It is just a toggle switch that goes from off to middle to up. Real easy to adjust. Nice to be able to run around with the box off and then adjust it as needed. Just flip the switch up and you are a Powerdork and a Duradude spanker. I would say that it is up in the 350-375 HP range with just the box on a SO truck. Maybe more, It feels like my 01 with the DDII's HX40 Comp... ... ... .....

im sure liking the way my bdog box makes my rig perform. and egt is resonable while towing on the low setting too. i get better mpg on the low setting than off. on high the pwr is unbelievable but even on low i am way more than happy with the increase. i only need to use hi on occasion and when i do i have a great big grin on my face

with the box on low, are six speed clutches holding? how about towing say maybe 7000 pounds? i would just use the first setting, but still want to get some miles out of my clutch. i guess i want everything, more power and no problems.

on lowest setting the clutch holds great even towing. i dont use hi towing, just to play and i dont stomp it at low rpm on hi,,,,just roll on the pedal. clutch holdin fine so far. i gross approx 17,000 to 18, towin



i also have stage 1 inj



3rd gen rigs clutch holds much bettr than the 2nd gens so no need to worry if ya use low for towin

Bully dog Adjustable box

I installed a Bully Dog Torque Dog adjustable box in my 2003

Quad cab4X4 stock setting1 no change as expected. (setting 2) I towed my 6200# bayliner cruiser with an additional 1000# of gear from MI to WV 600+ miles . The power is incredible Going up WV turnpike 5%-7% at 75 to 80 mph!The only limiting factor was exhaust temp on long 7% grade I had to back down to 65 to keep

below 1000 degrees (post turbo pyro). Setting 3 will throw you back in the seats hard and send up a cloud of black smoke. Dealer doesn't reccomend towing on 3!I weighed my truck full of fuel at 7440 on truck stop scales. On trip with boat 14990#. I purchased in Michigan @ $725+ tax. My truck stock exhaust stock intake

6 speed manual. Cummins 305 HP H. O.

I was just out messing around showing off to a buddy of mine. I was going through the gears and the letting the Pacbrake bring her down. He kept telling me how fast the truck was now. Then I realized I had it on level 1. Quick switch to level two and his reply... ... . "WOW"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took a friend of mine on a short ride to show off my Bully Dog

He Just bought a 2003 Lariat Powerstroke 6. 0 added a western diesel chip similar to the Bully Dog. His reaction was Wow also along with D@%#. He was definitely having second thoughts on his choice of trucks. He always bought GM trucks in the past. I have owned only Ford in the Past. This was Radical Change for both of us to switch brands!I am Sold on the Cummins!

Whatever happened to the TST box they promised would be out by end of last year, then late spring. Anyone hear anything?



Think I'll look into a bullydog. What I liked about tst was the digital guages built into the box.

I am also waiting for the TST box. The integrated guages is the deciding factor for me. They better get the box out soon, or the new Edge box w/in-cab controller will be out and I'm likely to go with that.
