Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) BullyDog Step 8 injectors

I bought a set to use with my twins that are going on next month and as usual couldn't be patient enough to wait to install them at that time. These things are smokey with the poor little HX-40 I have - it just doesn't provide the airflow and boost necessary to burn the fuel these things deliver. I can be driving down the highway in 4th with the TCC locked at a constant 70 mph and there is a steady stream of smoke. Even at peak boost of 45 psi, there is still a lot of smoke! These observations are without the fueling box on - with it on - can you say total solar eclipse?? I think with about twice the boost - especially at low RPM levels, they should be drivable in polite society - so for the time being - I'm going to put the DD3's back in. Oh, BTW, the increase in power is amazing, if I keep the RPM up I can break the rears loose through 3rd gear at each shift - I just can't tell if I'm leaving people behind incredibly fast or if they're all stopped because they can't see

I hope your neighbors and law officials are nicer than the wacko tree huggers we have out here in commiefornia, A lot of us around here have been recieving little letters in the mail from the air resources board in regards to the mosquito abatement efforts we have been producing. Stupid lady yelled at me at stop light today about how disgusting my truck was with "all that smoke". All this while she sucked on her virginia slim. go figure

I have been running the 8's since June and love them. Yes the do tend to produce a haze through the exhaust... . But hey I just figured I was helping out keeping the West Nile virus in check around here. I have managed to produce over 760 HP using these injectors so that should say something about the amount of fuel they can flow.



In my opinion anyone looking to make maximum HP should give these injectors a try!

Well, my conscience got the better of me after about a week and I put the DD3's back in. Definitely a drop in power, but I'm sure I was not realizing the potential of these injectors since that HX-40 can only supply so much air - just ain't enough. So here's hoping HVAC's twins will balance the fuel:air ratio - I can't wait to get those injectors back in!
