I dunno if you guys heard but Bullydog came out on top at the shootout down in texas. On the 05s it was only around 15hp I think but with the 06s it was like 50HP difference!!!! What do ya'll think about that? They havent posted their dyno sheets yet but I will post a link to them once they are posted...

Well, I think the Dyno is one thing, and real world operation is another.

I would be curious to see egt's on the same vehicle, under the identical conditions, the Smarty tune against the Bullydog tune.

What I am trying to say, I can add more fuel with my TST, stacking it on to my Smarty, and I can get better dyno #s, but my egt's go through the roof, so It is not practical for everyday use.

I am not saying Bullydog's tune is too hot to drive, I don't know. I believe it is great that Smarty has ongoing competition.

they are going to be running at the truck today weather permitting... The one guy said that it was very close EGT wise as well... . Oh also it was TNT/R in case you were wondering... .

I was! Thank you.

Was the Bullydog tune something that is available to the public? Or is it an "insider only" tune?

Never mind, I see on DTR it is Crazy Larry/Pedophile Larry tunes.

It doesn't surprise me at all, We have been stacking the T-Dog for over 2 years with the PowerPDA, the stack produce over 300hp on my truck (stock lift,CP3,Injectors), other have even had better results, and that TQ management program is just awesome if you like running into fuel pumps and garage doors. In other words don't run it on the street or your Garage, it will suck up your wallet in collision costs.

Its funny how when someone posts this up the numbers keep changing, I've seen within 1 hp to 50 hp which is it:rolleyes:. 5 different forums 5 different numbers, and yes I know one was an 05 and the other an 06.

I think its time for Marco to come out with a tune that disregards egt's and driveability and call it the MOLESTER TUNE :-laf

there's no reason for a common rail tune to disregard drivability...

injector size and turbo size are what cause drivability issues. There's only so much you can get out of a factory CP3, which is what MOST guys are running... by being somewhat conservative and not dumping crazy fuel and losing rail pressure, you actually stand to make more power

3rd Gens don't need a fuel dump setup as in former Gens, its precision tuning with support that makes the all around Power. You cannot have the all-in-one truck, if you want a dyno truck build one, if you want a track truck build one, If you want a every Day driver build one. If you want a truck that tows build it for towing.

double quote from another forum.

I'm surprised that you are saying this since you were there. THe only tune that put down more power(than the TNTR alone) on Brian's truck was the PL and at 26,9XX RP(you can have that kind of RP) I was talking w/ him all that night and most of the day Sunday. Hopefully he'll chime in with SOME !@#$ PROOF!!!!

"Yea go ahead and wait for when Brian post that the BDPL tune was stronger than the Smarty TNT/R tune even with the DR. P stack... Rail pressure was close too. " Rail pressure was not close, even w/ the Dr P he could barely get 25000 psi, that PL tune added an azzload of pressure!
