Bumper/Tailgate Clearance FYI

Just an FYI:



A Lufkin 25' tape measure is just a tad too tall to leave laying on the rear bumper when you open the tailgate. Combine that with the weight of 7 4x4x10's and you get a nice little crease in the tailgate.

Yep, even my little bitty block plane that I use for doors is too tall. It'll leave a nice little dimple. did that the second week that I owned the truck.

A bit larger scale... a 38' KZ 5th wheel toy hauler is just a little more weight than the side rails of the bed are designed to support without crumpling. Yeah, can you say Oh $#!t. -Trey
