Had an opportunity to drive the company 00 3500 4x4 V10 without the horse trailer attached up to a trailhead today. Yeesh, I had forgotten the difference between the Gen 2 and Gen 3 ride on washboard gravel roads.

Made me appreciate my truck all the more. :) Can't imagine what a TRex must be like.

I'll probably catch hell for this, but for the price of the T rex, it oughta ride ALOT better... Ive ridden in a 4x4 CTD quad cab long bed wiht the T rex suspension, and it doesnt ride any better than my bone stock 04. 5 does.

This has been gone over a million times... you don't get the T-Rex for the "ride"... you get it for the extra capability. Take both trucks down roads with big ruts and bumps at 60mph and see which one glides over it and which one kills the truck and the driver. That's like saying "for the price of that twin turbo system, it doesn't cruise at 70mph down the highway any better"... you have to USE it. I'm getting mine so I can cruise the dunes at more than 5-10mph without feeling like the truck is going to fall apart.

OR cruise the gopher holes like I do! Washboards disappear... . and so do the harsh bumps. Hey, OTD, I got my flatbed on (aluminum so I don't lose the gvw). Still messing with it. Got a right side aux tank and 3 tool boxes. Looking pretty cool. Silver truck and aluminum bed. Gonna do a custom front bumper and bring the running boards up to fender wells then do an alum tube for a flair that comes into the front bumper. Shades of Mad Max maybe?

If you guys are backroaders... . T-Rex is worth it. George

George, congratulations on completing (or almost completing) the custom flatbed install

Pics? I looked at your profile to see if there were pics but didn't see a link.

OTD... I don't have a clue how to put a picture on the TDR. Still trying to get them from the camera to the computer... . George
