"Burned out" EGT gauge???

I recently sold my juice w/attitude so I'm back to having only one EGT gauge again. I don't trust it anymore. It reads sooooo much hotter than the attitude did I almost ignore it. Is there a simple way I can test it? I've asked before, but nobody had any practical way to test it.



Has anyone ever had a gauge/probe go bad?

Kenny, that's a great write up - I may suggest removing the thermocouple from the manifold and putting it some boiling water or other known temperature and seing what the guage reads if you don't have the accurate multimeter handy.



Boiling water is pretty cheap to come by.
