Thanks, TDR Staff

Happiness is ... getting your truck bought back????

On another forum..

Leaky injectors fill crankcase with fuel, engine dies on the highway or in an intersection... that's OK, let the owner bring it in when they can and we will think about fixing it.

Loose ground... OH NO, better recall it and get them off the street right away!

A topic elsewhere was a thread for those who have had 0 problems with the 6. 0. The intent was to show that some do not have problems and the 6. 0 is a reliable performer. It was supposed to attract would be 6. 0 owners in thinking a thread showing they are OK as built.

One satisfied owner claimed "No problems since all new injectors and turbo..... "

That kinda ruined my warm fuzzy feeling about those with no problems. Lets see... its great once you replace the injectors and turbo charger? That sounds like some major problems to me.

and that's why the ford super duty is rated number one among top diesel pickups... NOT! i guess that's another strike on my step dads list. he's got 12,000 on his 03 PSD 6. 0 and has already nuked one engine. gotta love em'

later yesterday i told my step dad about the recall that caused engine fires and i swear he said this "i couldnt be that lucky. " oh well one day he'll see the grass is greener on the other side.

I would be ok. I have replaced all my injectors and turbo. LOL

I really wonder what they are doing? We have seen & heard of lots of 6. 0L problems, few have been fixed, and lots have not! My son bought an '04 Ranger XLT Super Cab 4. 0L V-6 gasser and has taken it back 3 times... Ford says they know there is a problem with the fuel injection/computer where the engine idles at 2000+RPM when pulling up to a stoplight (clutch in) and won't come down. But, (and this is the kicker!) they don't know what to do about it yet!!! Oh, and one of the times he took it back, they were supposed to change the tires!

Seems Ford and tires don't get together once again. They put 245/75R16 Goodyears on the aluminum wheels on the Ranger Super Cabs. The rims are too wide for these tires and the edges exhibit cupping and extreme wear before 10,000 miles, no matter about rotation or tire pressures. The dealer is supposed to replace them with 255/70R16 Goodyears on the super cabs and BF Goodrich Long Trail 235/70R16 on the regular cabs. Well, seems they can't read at this dealership, cause when he took it home, his wife asked him why the small tires on his truck! "Well, if she noticed it, then I know it's going back to them!", was his comment. Yet another return trip to the dealer... .

And the Ford (Phord) Blue oval problem saga continues... .

As one fellow said at work... 'at least they CIRCLE the problem... "

Give them a slap on the back for at least getting their Blue oval in the right spot if nothing else works you still got the emblem to be proud of. LMAO
