OK - this is really scary.........

Old tractor and high-tension TVA lines don't get along.

we just picked up a Nordberg model 1198, burnt.

it's being stripped down for sandblasting and painting, then will be replumbed and wired, etc.

Wondering if any of you guys could direct me to a source for manuals and wiring diagrams.

I'm planing to rewire it using relays and ditch the PLCs.

thanks

I am not sure what a Nordberg crusher is, but I am wondering why you would go to all the trouble of designing a relay system, when PLC's are so easy and flexable.

this unit is a rock crusher, makes big rocks into little rocks. ( also makes lots of noise and dust)

these PLCs are not so easy to work with anymore, they didn't stand the fire so well.

I'll be using a relay layout that's basically the same as our fleet of loader mounted snow blowers and the other old crusher, the plan is to keeps things easy.

I'd rather use the PLCs ( if they didn't look like charcoal) as this crusher will end up with radio control.
