greetings,

Here's the deal, I'm getting on my truck going down the road and I notice a burst of power right before I shift when I ease off the pedal. I wish I had this power all the time and not just at 2500-3000rpms. Keep in mind, this is with the bully dog tri-dog set on "extreme" setting. It never was overly impressive since the day I had it so I can only compare to other trucks of the same. I don't understand why the outlook monitor has four settings "stock-tow-performance-extreme" why not just have "on-off" all the power settings are all the same except "stock" setting. Could the bully dog settings malfunction be related to the burst of power issue I'm having?

When I had the BDTD and Outlook it was very noticable on the different settings. Are you sure you have your outlook set for the correct truck/programmer?

The burst of power occures all the time and it seems like it really opens up and comes alive at 2500 to 3000 rpms. Opens up even more past 3000 and I don't like doing this to get power. And yes I'm pretty sure the monitor is set on the right setting because if I select the wrong setting I'll get an engine light. But I'll double check again the monitor again.

I did add a Quadzilla boost fooler a while back and it made no difference. The only thing about the boost fooler is I only indicate 18psi on the monitor, which is normal and I could squeeze out 23psi with out the fooler. I'm going to add this on my signature. Thank you.

When I had my boxes set on too hot of program, and rail pressure would suffer... then when I would lift throttle to shift the rail pressure would recover and the truck would feel like more HP...

I would bet you need to turn down your boxes and you will feel more HP

Stock trucks do the same thing, although it may be more noticeable with fueling boxes. I've always assumed it has to do with a momentary mismatch between boost and fuel rate.

We discussed this years ago... can't find the thread now.

It might also be how these pedals are programmed, to minimize smoke at full pedal, which the gov't tests for.

Try backing off the pedal a little and see if it gives you more power at slightly less pedal. . Try rolling into the "throttle" rather than mashing it all at once.

That's right, it does seem to have a sweet spot on the pedals. Can this be adjusted. I notice my friend's 05 has a completely different pedal because his has a sensor and mine has a cable.
