More food for thought here.

I don't know if this if Fed or not. In PA, you must wait 30 days after taking the knowledge tests before you can take the driving tests. This is applicable for both Class A & B CDL licenses.

See here for for some practice tests. Sorry, no Passenger endoresment quiz though. http://www.layover.com/newbies/cdltest/

No wait period in GA for CDLs.

On transit buses, you know they running wide open at highway speed. I drove one for a while. Are transit buses that much lower than a MCI/Prevost coach? They already have basement storage. Plus the gearing and hp will be more suited for an RV.

Hope it goes well for you.

The lic required will be determined by what CA (your home state)requires, the same for lic on the bus, but, you probably won't be able to resolve that until you have them back to CA. and have them inspected.

Some of the states you'll pass through require "Drive-Aways" to pass through the scales or Port of Entry.

Good luck

SEmerson,

if these busses are at or over 26,000 GVW, the driver will be required to hold a valid CDL. Air brakes alone will only add to this complexity. Try this company, it's one that my vehicle company uses. Very professional, reliable and fully insured! Not the cheapest, but I wouldn't hire the cheapest anyway (the old "get what you pay for"). Call Mark, he'll help! Good luck!
