Hey all you Bushwacker advocates... .

I just got new wheels and they made it obvious the next step is to add Extend a Fenders since the rubber sticks out more than I care for.

ANy referrals for best price would be helpful.

Best price I've seen for the front and rear is $368 inc shipping at truckexpressions.com

WHo did you get to paint them and how much did it set you back? Any tips on paint type, etc. ?

Thanks a bunch

I would not advise Bushwackers, they will destroy the paint underneath them, at least they did mine... I have not tried them, but I hear Xenons are much better.

Yeah, I read about that little fact on a forum search. Not cool.

Stillens are another recommend. Xenon was mentioned too.

Thanks

I second what Coolslice said. Had them on mine for only two weeks and still have visible line on all four fenders where the rubber edge ground the paint off.

How about the ATS flares, thats what I have and I think they look great. Oh yeah, they won't chew up your paint because they set tight against the body with two sided tape. There are pics in my gallery. $480 shipped and painted from Aztrucks.com

Anyone tried to use that clear plastic covering over the area where the fender flares touch the truck?

I have inspected mine a few times since install and noticed little rubbing... maybe it depends on how tight you fit them to begin with?

I kind of feel like you either get rocks and mud all over the fender or the fender flares do a little rubbing on the paint... I guess you just have to pick your poison.
