installed my Bushwhackers last night... . in dark... NO I COULD NOT WAIT.

Hardest part was putting the rubber seal on edge... . lost a screw already so this weekend going to put a dab of blue loctite on them to see if it helps. I did not do the 3m tape stuff... just left the gasket. If it scratches I wont see it unless I take them off..... dont plan on taking them off unless it gets really muddy so time will tell.

I might get scared and do it another day but for now they are on and looking great. :D

I bought the MOPAR 'flares but need to paint them. Body shop wants like $800 to do it. ANyone have any suggestions on what kinda paint to use? I don't want it to flake/peal off.

They must be pretty proud of their work asking $800 for just the flares. I'd definately get a second opinion. It should only be a couple of hundred at the most.

Most people putting on flares seem to be leaving the Cummins badge off - or putting it on the rear fenders or behind the back door somewhere.

Flare cost

I paid $297 for ATSDesign fender flares. Paid $350 to have 'em painted two-tone to match my truck and then installed. Thought that was too high, but maybe not. Then I bought splash guards from the Dodge parts shop and screwed them to the fender flares. Getting ready for them Rickson 19. 5" wheels and Hankook 245 tires, yeah.
