Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) buss connector

I have a 2001 2500, and installed edge ez module, felt no power gain in any of the three positions, and called edge and they had me send back for repairs. Just wondering, if the buss connector they call data link connector, should be probed for power, or does the edge module just send data through it and not voltage. Just trying to make sure everything is right on my end. No check engine light came on while edge module was hooked up, hopefully it was just a bad module from them. If anyone has this experience before i would sure like to hear about it.

The CCD buss is low level signal voltage only. If I recall, it is around 1/4 volt.
