Gasoline under $2.00 in OHIO....

Diesel in wyoming dropping

The topic pretty much says it all... The previous thread about Pemex limiting diesel fuel sales was nothing...

This couple had their GMC pickup SEIZED by Mexican officials after they put 10gal in the stock tank, and 50 more into their auxillary in-bed tank.

BE CAREFUL out there!

Wow, the Mexicans are really screwing with us Americans. I see they have no desire to help us out, even though they pretty much owe us their lives!

Never forget - this is the SAME Mexican government that expects US to educate, provide medical care and medicines - as well as welfare and other government benefits to THEIR illegal aliens on our soil - and YET, balk at a relatively few gallons of THEIR fuel in the tanks of legal visitors inside THEIR borders.

Not only that, but our own elected "Representatives" are fully agreeable to all the above as well...#@$%!

Want more? Like what you see? Keep voting for Socialistic, Liberal candidates...

OK explain to me why diesel is 1/2 the price in Mexico as it is in the US. What have they done to get it cheaper. What gives!!

Mexico's $30 billion fuel subsidy.

Presidente Calderon is subsidizing Mexican fuels to the tune of $30 billion dollars in order to quell inflation and avert an uprising.

What a Bunch of Quisilings on this post. Think about it. Non paying Federal and State Taxes on Road Fuel you are helping to Kill the country from the inside, what a bunch of Fair Weather Patriots. All Mouth and No Guts. Mexico is not paying to the USA the Taxes lost to the country, YOUR COUNTRY, for the loss of Revenue.

UMMmmmmm - I somehow doubt that the relatively FEW hitting *one or 2 stations* across the border are likely to upset the balance of income for the road maintenance in all the USA, or de-stabilize our economy... :-laf:-laf

Let's not get TOO over reactive and outta proportion here! :p

The reaction here - and a valid one, is that the Mexican government on ONE hand expects and INSISTS that OUR government grant shelter and UNLIMITED assistance to Mexican illegals in this country - to the tune of many 10's of BILLIONS of *our* tax dollars. Those are services and assistance the Mexican government wouldn't even BEGIN to consider for OUR citizens inside their country, legally or otherwise - shucks - they won't even part with a miserably few gallons of fuel from a station or 2 across the southern California border!

Try getting a job here anymore, unless you speak spanish forget it!! Their is not one fast food restarunt around here that has anything but mexicans working in them!! A quote by my foreman at work before I got laid off,(with a heavy accent) I think I fire all the whites and hire more mexicans, they work harder and don't complain!! The lawyer really liked that comment!!!

From another post (NOT TDR)

I guess they seized the wrong truck. They took it from a family here in Del Rio that had connections and ran to the press. Had the whole chamber of commerce and city hall on their side. People up in arms over bad treatment. Bad press all around.

Thats what I dislike about Mexico. They change rules and slam you out of the blue. Hundreds of trucks buy diesel and bring it back every day but they picked this family and one other to seize their trucks and these people stood up to them. They could have seized a hundred that day just in sleepy Acuna.

Mexico is in a no win situation, they are bleeding money from selling fuel too cheap but when they try to do something about it, like cutting off greedy gringos from their dirt cheap diesel, they risk offending all US travelers that don't just buy fuel but food, gifts, medicine, dental work, ect... If they raise the price just a little, the poor (and there are a lot of poor in Mexico) will fill the streets in protest. Getting around is just as important to them and fuel costs takes a much bigger bite out of their pockets.

In 1992 my wife and I went into a pizza joint in Florence,Oregon. It had a roaring fire going and resembled a log cabin inside. We placed our order, and upon sitting down I asked my wife,"What's different about this place?" She replied about the log cabin look. I then replied,"No,white kids are working!" In San Diego even at that time parents apparently spoiled their kids and you never saw them doing food service work which was my first taxed job. It's probably worse now even in Florence. Business and both parties let these folks in and we've got to accomodate the honest, hard working best of them. A secure border is essential though for the future of the country.

Just change the word "Mexico", to USA - and it ALSO fits quite well - the goal of globalization is doing a GREAT job of remaking us in this country just like the many in other countries - unfortunately it is the UGLY part we are becoming, in terms of national economy and standard of living...

Mexicans?

I truly wonder how PEOPLE generalize any Brown skinned, dark haired person for a MEXICAN, during the Rodney King Riots of Los Angeles, there was a lot of looting and eventhough the people that were from other countries, Central and South america, were the majority of the persons showed on the news and later identified, arrested and deported, the Ignorant still generalized them as Mexicans because of their appearance and color of their skin,

Being a Mexican myself I find it very difficult to distinguish between a Mex. and a Venenzuelan for instance, and for that matter, many Hispanic ethnicities.

It was always my understanding the LA riots were based upon the actions of blacks - never heard any reference to Hispanics or Mexicans...

Lest we lose perspective, most of the comments here - and bitterness - is aimed at ILLEGAL Mexicans, and the Mexican government in general, which has 2 totally different standards of "fairness". One relates to how (poorly!) THEY treat USA citizens on THEIR soil - as opposed to how they expect and demand we treat THEIRS...

Some of our family's best friends are Mexican - fine, clean people - but THEY are here legally, and worked hard for what they have, just like most of the rest of us. And I, for one, would welcome one of those over a dirty, leech of a natural born USA citizen ANY day! ;)

Sundays Trip to TJ for fuel

I was down there today (37min round trip)

I went to the station in la mesa (about 5 miles east) or tj

The guy pointed me to a sign (i took a photo and will post later)

not sure what it says

I will have it translated.

but he pointed to it when I pointed to my Aux tank.

Only factory installed tanks now will they fill.

and from what i have herd also Mexican Customs is on the prowl for people that have Mex diesel in non factory tanks.

I will probably go to aerotanks.com and get a get a 60 gallon tank installed.

that will give me a about 800 miles distance.

so for now going to go down ever week and top off

probably on Sunday early
