Hitch Extension

3500 V10 questions

I own an '05 3500 6 spd QC SWB and plan on getting a 14k gooseneck trailer. From what I have read, a slider hitch is a good idea but not really required for an open equipment trailer. Suggestions on hitch brand? How about the AirSafe hitch? Thanks.

a gooseneck does not have the flat full width front end (usually) so you dont need to worry about a slider with with a 5th wheel trailer. the tapered neck gives you all the clearance you need.

Thanks! I am installing a B&W turnoverball hitch tomorrow and still researching the trailers. I have been told the air ride type hitches are nice for horse trailers but not required for equipment trailers.

Next on the list will be some power upgrades. The stock setup has been fine hauling my existing 7k trailer, but more power never hurts!
