Hey guys. I'm looking at buying a 2007.5 Ram with the 6.7L and 6 speed manual. The truck has already been deleted and has some sort of Edge monitor on the "A" pillar. I don't really mind that it has been deleted, but I don't like the Edge monitor and prefer Isspro gauges. I know H&S is out of business and Smarty does not support anything that has been deleted. What options do I have to remove the Edge monitor, install my preferred gauges, and still be able to tune the truck and shut off the CEL? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

The Edge Monitor just might be that; a monitor! What is the Edge's name on the monitor and do you have any information on this truck when you purchased the truck?

As an example you could have the Smarty S67 programmer installed and not even know that it is there. The Edge could have been installed by the person who deleted the truck instead of using gages since the Edge will provide several different monitoring options over what the gages will provide. Just a thought!

Now as stated above EFI Live will support what you want to do and I think you may need someone to help with programming the truck. Since there maybe a program in the ECM already!

Be sure to get all the deleted parts. Another owner in the future could have you prosecuted for violating federal law and/or demand the emissions parts.

Unless you want an EXPENSIVE toy- RUN! Depending on where you live, just being a passenger in that truck can get you locked up.

Wayne, where did you see that that has happen and or do you have information on this? Maybe in KALIF but no where else that I am familiar with!

The risk exist in all 50 states. The odds of happening is fairly low. Many states have roadside inspections and are used for a variety of reasons.Even Texas has busted the owners of deleted trucks. All it takes is an attitude towards the LEO to make stuff go bad.

Here in NYS, they're spot checking fuel for dye. Dont you remember my post about the poor operator getting a roadside smoke check?
Just too risky in my book.
Heck, I got involved and petitioned my senators asking them to not support a bill making off road, permanent race cars out of street vehicles illegal. you should see the response from my Democrat.

First, kudo's to you for getting involved. I would like to see that response if you don't mind posting it.
