buying a very low miles 06', what should I do

well, I sold my 01' to a young man from Georgia and I was going to buy a 09' single cab 4X4 dually (brand new)



but before I could pull the trigger I found a 2006 QC Dually 4X2 owned by an elderly gentleman who bought the truck new, carfax is clean, truck is immaculate, always garaged and the price is right



He bought the truck in March of 2006, the truck has 5,600 miles, yes 5,600 miles (avg. 1,400 miles per year)



should I change the fluids out? what should I be aware of? or lookout for?



I'm going to have to get read up on this forum and learn about the common rail issues

Wow! Nice find! I would obviously change out the oil, oil filter, fuel filter and probably switch the diff fluid out as well. You never know if they've already done the 500 mile diff fluid swap. Again... nice find and congrats on a very nice... non-egr'd or DPF'd truck!

Thanks guys, I've always had 4X4's and had every year through 04' but traded my 04' to my best firend for the 01' I just sold, drove it for about 5 years



we just bought my wife a 08 mega 4X4 dually w/78k miles and is really nice but I drive quite a few miles for work and hauling hay, mostly 100% paved road driving and it doesn't snow in Texas



we'll see how I get along with two wheel drive but it does have limited slip, I am really looking forward to less steering and ball joint issues with the 4X2



I meeting the guy July 1st to view the truck and buy it, earlier than that just doesn't fit our schedules



good advice, any other ideas?

Nice find, you are going to love the 4X2 Dually. I just rolled over 200k and the front end is still rock solid. The rack and pinion steering is great too. Don't forget to change the coolant as well while you are at it. Good luck!
