Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Buying advice

Been looking and some used '02 and '01 models (3/4 ton, 4x4, Short box) with autos and one with a 5-speed... All the trucks are under 50,000 miles. What's a quick list of things I should check out on these trucks? What problems should I be aware of? I will be using this truck for light duty towing 8k lbs or less. I currently have a '97 1500 with 204k :--) on it- so I'm not new to the auto transmission problems. .

If you by it from a dealer, have them check the fuel pressure, at the injection pump. It should be between 10-15 psi at idle and no lower than 6-9psi wide open throttle. If you don't mind shifting gears, get the stick, a lot less maintenance, the Dodge auto's are a little weak in the knees.
