I was out playing the other day after installing a set of 370 injectors. I heard a buzzing noise coming from the dash (right around the instrument panel), however, this would only happen under very heavy acceleration and high rpm's. The buzzing was very random and usually only lasted for 3-5 seconds. My friend asked me what it was so I told him I hooked up a sensor to inform me when I was approaching warp speed!! I thought that maybe it was some sort of ABS sensor or ????. My air bag light stays on all the time, and has been like this since the day I bought the truck (used). I've never had the urge to fix the air bag... . could this possibly be related??
Thanks
Cord

Are you positive it is coming from the instrument panel?
For a short while I had a similar buzz. After taping (OK, BANGING) around the instrument panel area and checking all the fasteners it was still there. Then one day the buzz appeared while I adjusted the rear view mirror. Problem solved #ad
Just tightened the fastener.

I'm pretty sure it's coming from there. Did your buzz sound like an electrical buzz or a frictional buzz (rattle)? I'm sure the buzz in my truck is electrical. It has me stumped as to why it only happens under very heavy acceleration and high rpm. It almost sounds like the door buzzer..... but that's been disconnected. To many buzzzzz's..... I'm starting to feel like a bee... Where's that queen! #ad

I guess mine would have been the "frictional buzz".

Time for the Yard Guard. Spray weekly under dash #ad

Just got back from a great week up in the mountains of Virginia where I proceeded to accomplish nothing more than wash my truck every other day (for fun!) #ad
and listen to my hair grow.
Anyway, I noticed a simular buzzing sound when I dropped out of OD & ran the RPM up around 2800 when climbing the grade up Afton Mtn. (I-64). I just love blowing by struggling traffic with the 5er in tow @ 70 mph in cruise control. #ad

My buzzing ended up being the throttle cable/pedal/something in the assembly because I could kinda press sideways on the pedal and it would almost stop but if I just pressed straight down on the go pedal, the sound was still there.
I'll have to take a look at it on my next day off. Under normal acceleration, there is no buzzing. Just my $. 02

Of course we with the "correctly" valved dont have this problem (too much current running loose for it to be buzzing!).

Now we know who stole Piers buzzer! #ad

RATTLINRAM,
If it does it when you have the cruis control on, there is a TSB on that. I went to Dodge and ordered the clip and installed it myself. It goes on the throttle cable. Plus you have to reroute the cable. Took about 30 minutes. Take a look at TSB 14-04-98

Thanks Michael,
I thought I had read a TSB concerning that, but I just couldn't remember where.
