Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) By-pass Filtration system FS-2500

No I believe it's a b164 spin on,in the fleetguard it is a LF778.

I use the system and really like it, they make a quality product. On the cummins the oil seems to look a little dirtier than on a powerstroke but the oil analysys always comes back good. It is a true remote system that mounts on the framerail. I have met the owner himself and talk with one of his engineers quite a bit. They are just getting into the passenger vehicle market recently, but have been selling them for over 10 yrs to the commercial market with great results.

I have pictures of an installed FS-2500 on page 2 of my DTW gallery. Haven't used it long enough to comment on its performance. The stainless hoses are a $49 option.

I just installed one of these remote bypass filters last week and they seem to be a quality product. It hasn't been long enough to see how well it works but if it works as well as it looks then I will be very happy with it.

I am considering installing one for my 48re also as this is sort of a weak point on this truck from what I keep hearing.

The engine will easily last its lifetime without one, you'd just need to change the oil more often, right?
