Sorry... if it does not have the characteristics of a Pete or KW standard long snoot than it is just a whimp!!!

The old cabovers had a certain appeal also.

So I guess if Ford gets it right... . I doubt it. .

<cut>

Ford SuperDuty will be the best looking TRUCK but the engine is not in the cards for me.

Time to stay used I guess.

I just traded an '06 Ford SD Diesel that I suffered with for 15 mos for an '06 CTD, and I 'aint lookin back!!! In my opinion, the engine which is VERY unresponsive is not the only short coming of the Ford. It's steering is VERY unresponsive too... it handles like a bread truck. I never drove a vehicle that understeers more than my F250 did... It's big, it's balky, and it's NUMB compared to the Dodge!!

my thoughts as well. I was able to stalled out the 03 6. 0's 3 times! with 3000#'s in a small trailer getting moving in 2nd gear. Trucks had only 1000 miles on it and the trans wasn't broken in yet so getting to creeper wasn't going at the time and I was in traffic. I learned on the 3rd time to start using the "ricers clutch engagement routine" and rev that motor to 2000rpm to get moving should I be locked out of 1st again. :) atleast I didn't stall.

seriously, you would have the truck in neutral at a light, go to put it in 1st and you'd be blocked out! had to use 2nd! I hope it was cuz the truck was new... ... .

Then there was the handling! Bread box, brick, yugo, what ever. it was just crap.

The new Silverado look hasn't grown on me just yet, especially that huge gold bowtie on the tailgate-- Not too mention the fenders, they just look out of proportion. I do however like the styling of the new Tahoe/Suburbans. Very clean. Can't stand what they did to the front of the Sierra/Yukon line. Hideous.

You can keep that Dakota. What's with the silver around the headlights? Looks like an afterthought.

I've seen some butts that are nicer looking than that Dakota!!! Never again will I use the phrase butt-ugly. But I might use the phrase 08dakotaugly!!

Time to buy a second 3rd gen Dodge and keep it in the garage, use like a Sunday driver, maybe a crate motor and transmission too. Soon there will only be diesel junk with bad engines, big bow ties on wheels and ugly. Who is the tastless market they plan on marketing that Dakota to anyway?

CD

Looks better than that goofy 2005-2007 Dakota, IMHO. The 2008 coke-bottle wheel wells got back some of their roundness. The 2005-7was too angular, and just plain goofy-looking. #ad

I'd buy a 2008 design Dakota with a Cummins 4. 2L V6 TD motor, but I don't need another truck :D

Wow, this is retarded.

08 Dakota.

Change the grille to make it more of a rounded square, vic the rounded trapezoid, or lose the metallic and go with a monochrome look, or a mirror finish vice the brushed look, might make a difference.

BTW, I'm voting for heavy duty trucks keeping the big rig styling. Who cares what the halfers look like :D :-laf

I agree, been looking at my 02 trying to decide what it would look like with a tilt front end. Bet it would be bad a**!
