They are all better than none. After researching cost, ease of install and effectiveness, I chose the Oilguard. They are all excellent bypass systems!
They all filter out the most damaging particles (those 3-7 microns in size).
IMHO, the Oilguard system, seemed to me, to be the easiest to install.
It took about an hour, and the oil analysis reports show it to be VERY effective.
At 5000 miles, my samples have numbers close to those of new oil. At 10,000 miles, the numbers were still rock solid!
For those that don't do analysis, the amount of TBN (additive) and the viscocity numbers still are very strong at 10,000 miles. About half the additive is still in the sample, and the soot numbers are still amazingly low.
Bottom line, get yourself a bypass system! Anything that will help engine life, and reduce the $$$$ spent on oil changes is worth it IMHO!!
