Bypass oil filter

I have an Amsoil by pass oil filter to put on my 04 3500. Their generic directions call for putting a tee into the oil pressure sending unit tap. I cannot even see where this is at, I believe it to be under the injection pump. While changing the oil I see two plugs on top of the oil filter housing... one is very difficult to access due to a heating line, the other port, in the center of the housing, looks to be very easy to access and I wonder if it would be advisable to tap into this to feed my by-pass filter. Is this tap already filtered oil or not? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys it helps to see the pictures. I thought that looked to be the easier way. Does anyone know if this port is filtered oil or not? Could you see the difference in the oil after running the bypass filter? Are you happy with the results?

If your truck is an 04 it may appear cleaner, but if its an 04. 5 it will no appear cleaner, but rest assured it is.

Where are you guys mounting the BP filter at? I've seen some of the ideas at Amzoil's website, but don't really like any of them.

i have a bracket that hangs it right above injection pump(bolt holes on intake at frt of motor), and returns it to engine through the oil cap. simple and it fits. the longest filter with no problem.
