I am sure the headline got some WTF's, but it is legit. I have my engine about ready to test fire, but I don't have the turbo yet, so I was wondering if there would be any problem bypassing the turbo oil feed line to the oil drain just to start and run it for the first time. Thanks-Nicholas

Make sure you have it fastened in the drain line good. ;)

If you just stick it in there, it will rear it's oil spewing end out of the drain so fast it will put 2 quarts on the fender and ground before you can shut it off. :eek:

Don't ask me how I know. #@$%!

So no problem doing it this way? I wouldn't think so, but I just don't want an over sight that could ruin a new engine. -Nicholas

i connected the feed to the return a get the truck off the trailer and into the shop after the turbo decided to let go. sounded like and acky n/a tractor, but maybe that was from what was left of the compressor wheel plastered to the valves:{
