Competition C-Hawk, Class Act!!!

Fellow members I feel I should share a story about one of our truly great members, C-Hawk. A little over a year ago I meet Chris at Maple Grove Raceway park in PA. It was at the DHRA event and too was racing my truck. Long and short of it I blew a head gasket. Keep in mind I just met Chris. Well he after he raced help put my truck on his trailer and pulled me about hour to get it fixed with someone he knew. Class Act! Well again today we were at the Grove and someone else he meet just hours ago was racing and broke there transmission. You can guess the rest. . He had a friend drive the Race truck home, which by the way ran 11. 76 @114mph and we loaded that truck up and Chris and his future wife are towing this truck with another couple 90+ miles out of his way to get the hurt truck and the owners home so it can be fixed.



You really don't meet people like this very often. Thought I was wright something nice about a great person in our club.



As for me, I didn't race, One broke truck at a race is enough.



To Chris Fastest 24v on #2 that I have ever seen!

Definitely was a damn nice thing for Chris to do. Was nice meeting everyone yesterday, and was really great to see the way the diesel guys worked together to get the hurt truck on the trailer!

I will run it this spring. On more re-toqure of the head and I'll be ready.

Plus it was a last min. thing. . I still had the Cap on the truck. I will run it. .

Hoping for the 12's. .

Chris is top notch and about as friendly as they come. His truck is the best sleeper in the entire nation, and is now also the fastest 24 valve on motor only out there. Congratulations Chris.

it is tough to find good people in this world, but every now and then you run into one.

I don't think it's tough to find good people, it's just you get screwed by a few, you dodge the rest, then you fail to see the good ones in the crowd .



I will say, that was a very good deed for him to go out of his way to help. For sure, he's one of the good. I agree, a lot will folks will not do that.

Thanks Mike and everyone else. I like to try to help out when i can... I know i appreciate it when people help me out of a bad situation.



It was good to meet some new people, and hang out with some friends that i rarely see like Mike and Doug. I made a couple decent passes. Drove to NJ and still made it home before Sunday. A good day.



I've got video of the 11. 76 pass, but no idea how to make it viewable. Any ideas?

Chris. Thanks for the help Saturday. I can not thank you enough for your help getting me and my truck home. I am sorry I did not get a chance to start this thread myself. I was under house arrest so to speak after breaking the truck again. :-{} My wife does not think that its OK to say Its not racing if your not breaking parts. :-laf I hope you get your video posted I missed your run while waiting for my chance to race. All in all it was a fun day in spite of the broken transmission.
