Well, Friday it's off to the local dealer to get the transmission cooler line recall (C44) performed. I tried to buy the line to perform the swap myself, as I can't stand the local dealer, but was told they weren't available as all parts were going to dealers for the recall.

So, after Friday my truck will probably be a pile of worthless junk after its short stay in the dealer's service department.

:(

Good luck Phil. I hope your truck comes back OK.

For what it's worth, you aren't alone. I feel the same way about my dealer.

I called my dealer yesterday to make sure they had the cooler line that the recall indicates needs replaced in stock. They said, "Yes, unless the cooler is cracked, then we'll need to order a new cooler. " Well, lo and behold, they are ordering the cooler line as they didn't have them in stock... *sigh* I really hope it's ready before I need to hit the road to Sam Rayburn Reservoir on Thursday...

Mine went in yesterday for the c44 and c42 recalls AND TSB on window tint scratching and Power steering hose for 2100 rpm vibration. All better... I think...

Thanks all for the feedback. I've really liked this truck, as it has had NO problems so far, has lots of power and gets pretty good mileage (at least compared to what I'm reading here about the 600's), too.

A trip to the dealer's service department is always a crap shoot. Will the truck come out running as well as it did when it went in?
