My 03 didn't come with cab clearance lights :{ and now I thinking I want them... :eek: any suggestions on where the best price or things I should consider????

Consider the fact that you need to drill holes in your roof. If that does not phase you then your friendly local Dodge dealer can get them for you.

Mine didn't come from the dealer with them... . However I got them at the dealer and had a local custom auto shop that installs sunroofs and the like to put them on. Dealer wanted $200 to install, this shop did it for $100. I am very pleased with the results.

I put a set on mine and it wasn't too difficult. The whole job took right at 3 hours and I had no idea what I was doing. Check out this thread for my experiences:

I bought my kit from Mopar and it was around $70 with a discount for buying the truck. I can dig up the part number if you need it. Comes with the template, lights, wire loom and everything. If you have questions give me a hollar.

I wish I could'a willed my cab lights to you! Not a cab light kinda guy, but not much I can do about it now

I'm not a big fan of the cab lights, but have I have come to the conclusion that they are at least a safety device. I do a lot of mountain driving and I know that the first thing an on coming vehicle will see at night as I crest a hill is the cab lights. I feel it helps say to on coming cars "Don't pass now and get put of my lane you idiot, you are about to be run over by a BIG truck". :--)

I happen to like clearence lights. Matter of fact, I plan to add more. Instead of * * * * *, you get ***********. I have seen it done on 3 trucks in my area and it actually looks pretty good. I'd have to buy a set so I can get a template to lay out all the new holes. I installed a set on my 95 so drilling holes in the roof won't be that bad.

I also like them too. Probally seeing the same trucks your seeing Jeff. I've seen two here locally. As the crow flys I'm only about 6 or 7 miles from you across the lake. :p

clearance lights on a 2500?

thats like a guy i knew that put f-350 on a f-250 after he lifted it 4":rolleyes:

sounds like some shopuld have bought a "real" 3500. :-{}

I put a set of lights on my '91 W-250, a couple of years ago. They were identical to the lights that go on the 2-nd Gen. trucks. They are made by Peterson Mfg. Co. ( Cab Marker Light Kit #V120KA) and sold for about $25. 00. (5 Lights in a kit). I know I've seen the new style lights in a catalog, somewhere. I just checked the lights on my '03, 3500, and they don't have a manufacturer's name, on them. But, I know they are available in the aftermarket. Should be much cheaper than D. C. , also. Just checked the J. C. Whitney catalog, page 109. They have the 2-nd Gen. Dodge lights (#81NTO190A), for $24. 99/set (of 5). The Chevy lights, which, look very similar to the '03 Dodge are (#12NT2689U), for $29. 99/set. Check with a "big truck" lighting store in your area. That's where I got mine. (The Lighthouse, 602-272-8077). Hope this helps! Joe Fihn, Phoenix,AZ.

Bought them

well I just purchased my lights from the dealer. . I really wanted the OEM parts..... Anyone have any tricks or suggestions before I drill into my roof... anyone do this already??? Please Help

:--)

Probably not much help, but. . . measure twice. . . drill once! Or maybe you'll be starting a new fad. LOL, I'm replacing everything I can with LED's. . . I sleep with them on lots, have run the batts down a time or two.

Cheers,

Steve J.
