I met a guy who asked me if I knew anything about convertng the Dodge to a crew cab. Has anyone had a conversion done to their truck to get a crew cab? Either a full conversion, or something like the Roadmaster cab extender? If so, pros and cons? Might be a nice way to get the best of both worlds! Thanks guys.

Jfoster,
A couple of months ago on the "General Diesel" forum someone posted about 4-door custom Dodge dually. Don't remember post.
Any reputable customizng shop should be able to do it.
Good one in Texas and Wisconsin or Minnesota, both I belive were in TDR as letters sent in with pictures of projects.
I 'll try to look thru TDRs see if I can find any names.

Jfoster,
Issue 21 page 82-83 Bayer(in Minnesota)
phone (320) 697-5571,fax (320)997-5666.
The author of letter had old generation made into crew cab for $9500. 00( 2nd generation would cost more) article has photos of 6 door crew cab and 4 door Ramcharger.
Will try to find the other conversion I saw I believe it was 8 door first generation from southwest but not sure.

There is a conversion shop about 20 miles south of Ft. Worth, Texas. It is on I35 (east side) about 3 miles south of Burleson next to a body shop that I used to do a lot of biz with. I have been meaning to stop by there and get a brochure and post it. I have seen quite a few trux they have done and they are nice!

amsoilman,
Nice photo ( a picture is like a thousand words) nice truck looks like a factory job, actually it looks better.
In reallity any decent custom shop should be able to do nice conversion but some are better than others. Look for ones that do Limos and other exotic conversions.
Down here some had a Lincoln Navigator stretched it's long as a bus(well at least 30 ft long).
