Hey guys,

Thanks for the information on the nerf tubes for the dually. The Waag Kick outs will be in next Tuesday. I have another issue though. This is the 3rd Turbo Diesel I have owned but the 1st that is a Stick. I went to run my EGT and Boost leads but the damn plug I always used has the clutch cylinder in it in the fire wall. Does anyone know of a factory port to use to exit into the engine compartment from the cab or atleast the BEST place to cut one in? This transition to a stick will hopefully be worth it. I am open to suggestions guys.

Thanks

John Oo.

I go through the rubber seal where the wiring harness goes through the firewall. If possible, go on the top side of the rubber boot seal. That was where I had the most room.

While we are on the subject of wiring through the firewall, I need to drill a 1" hole(per the install instructions) in the firewall for the air lines and wiring harness for in cab controls for my Air Lift 5000 air bags. Does anyone have a good location? Or has anyone installed the in cab controls?

The next problem is getting a drill with a hole saw on it in there to drill the hole.

The through-the-firewall factory wiring harness grommet is already full of wires for my other add-ons.

The other option is let Camping World do the job for the $88 install fee or wait for a $1 install special. Lifetime installation warranty--if there are leaks, they will fix 'em.

TIA,

Bill

Bill, after crawling around and under my truck and still have more to do, I would go for the $88 and if you can get it for less so much the better.

This is a good place for wires to pass thru. The only thing I would add is that it is a lot easier to see this rubber seal from the engine compartment. It is almost impossible to see it clearly from the inside, as it's above and to the left of the steering column. Have fun!!!:D

I also have a manual trans and I used the hole for the parking brake cable. Pulled the original grommet up the cable into the cab to save for reinstallation later. Bought a split grommet to fit the hole (about 1") and installed cable and additional wires through it. Worked for me without any new holes :D .
