I saw this on Geno's website. Has anyone installed one and used it for awhile? I can't really see how a filter kit that is installed on the EXTERIOR of the vehicle, subject to rain, snow and carwash would work well or last long. On the other hand I don't like the face full of dust my conditioned air system blows at me after the truck has been inactive for awhile.

I Have one on my truck for several months. Mainly installed it to keep leaves and spruce needles out of the system. I have noticed that in snow and cold weather I steam up inside and the defrost is really slow on clearing the windows. Didnt do that before installallation. Hope this helps.

I really noticed a marked improvement on fumes and dust in the cab after I installed mine a year or so ago. However, after time, the plastic housings on mine began to warp somewhat from the sun I guess and it blocked the windshield washer nozzle on the driver's side. I removed them after that. Just my $. 02

Thanks FourBarR,

I think we live in the same climate so whatever it does on your truck, it will do on mine.

Thanks for the reply, Wolfman. I would have thought that the filter element would have taken the biggest beating, I didn't even consider that the housing would be the weak link. Still, when I change the filter in my wife's Honda and see all the junk that it has captured, I may give it a try.

I purchased one and didn't like the look. If anybody is interested, I can send it to you. Right now it is taking up space in my garage... please make it go away!!

Don't buy one. I did, and it was a waste of money. It blocked my view under the windshield wiper (I'm 5'6"). The housing broke the first time I tried to replace the filter. It did take some of the dust out of the air, but would be very $$$ to keep up.
