I've seen a post on here about installing cab lights. I CANNOT see me doing that myself because I am too anal about it. It would take me 3 days. I don't want orange lights and would like something clear or smoked. My question is WHO could I get to do this and do it right (dealer, bodyshop, ???) and any suggestions on kits? Should I get the factory kit and aftermarket lights or is there something better? I cringe when I think of removing the headliner, etc... .

I had mine done at the dealer. It was only about 90 bucks for the labor but they did farm it out. The dealer did admit it was a little to low but was posted in their labor book ( I saw it). My understanding is that when you drop the headliner there are preset driling holes for the lights to be mounted to. The power lead is behind the passenger A pillar. Three years later no leaks. Hope this helps.

I wanted to take it to dealer. But i dont know what dealer you went to but they wanted over 390. 00 for lights plus install plus tax and all that. So i went to northerntool.com bought the Dodge cab lights they sell and did it myself for 50 dollars. Not the best work haha but they are on right and they work. I wired to to my light switch. But i am 20 years old. Save money when i can. Haha. It looks good!! Like my orange lights. I would go to dealer have them put on. Go to recon truck lighting.com and buy the smoked light covers.

Good luck

I didnt see any preset drilling holes. Wish i would have. I went to a local dealer climbed on top of a new truck and measure distiance between lights and form the window up to the light. Worked out that way! By the way i put them on in the new lowes parking lot here. haha

I may try the dealer. But high $ might keep me from pulling the trigger. I really didn't think the dealer would do it, but like posted earlier..... they probably sub it out.
