Any body know where I can get cab replacement parts such as corner cabs, rocker panels, and fender? Or know where I can buy a whole new cab? Thanks

The cab corner is NS1 for the CC from Dodge. I bought the next to last one 2 years ago. The rocker panel is still avavible. I have both for the left side.

I am replacing my cab this summer. If you need a left side rocker and cab corner hit me with a PM.

I have a pair of new rocker panels I would let go this summer also, I also am replacing a cab this summer. One I have has everything good except the roof. Someone drilled holes in it for lights and never filled them with anything hence the rust. I would be glad to help when I get my stuff together when the weather breaks in the Northeast.

You guys that are replacing cabs, what are you doing about the VIN tag? Just keeping your original dash? The sticker in the jamb won't match. I'm planning on rebodying mine as soon as I find a suitable donor, but want everything to be legal in case I sell it. -Nick

I'll go threw the DMV and get a assembled title most likely. It will cut resale on the truck with a ASM title. But seeing as how I don't plan on selling it. That doesn't mean anything.

If its not too much of a pain in the *** in IL that's what I was planning on doing, I think you have to be a "licensed rebuilder" though...

Personally, I wouldn't tell anyone. Just swap over your whole dash assy and call her good. As long as the vin plate is there, looks un-tampered with and is correct, nobody is going to question it. Just don't be silly enough to leave any stickers or other tags with a different vin # on them.

In IN anyone can get a ASM title. You need the title from the orginal vehicle. On the replacement cab you eather need a title or bill of sale. Then after your swap you have a police office come out and inspect it. Then the DMV will issue a new title/vin numbers.

I have heard from reliable sources that the VIN is stamped on the frame so in order to stay consistent, change the dash plate with pop rivets, and take off the sticker in the door jamb and if you can't stick it back on put it in the glove compartment and say it fell off. As far as not being worth as much, that doesn't fly with me. It's no different than changing a water pump. You are improving and fixing stuff that is broken. I'm looking forward to having mine gone through, rattles tightened, new paint and rustproofing etc.

"Pop" rivets aren't correct, an overzealous cop, patrolman, whatever, will spot them. You need the correct "rosette" style blind rivet. They can be found on E-Bay, MCG, or at swapmeets.

If you swap your whole dash assy, no need to worry about the rivets on the vin tag. The truck will look just like it came that way.

JGrefenstette, I gave them to the neighbor kid just last month who is fixing up an old gas job. sorry. You can get them for a regular cab at least, from most of the aftermarket guys. You can make them fit real well with some tinkering. Mine were for a regular cab also. I put a whole new cab from a Oklahoma gas truck and its as good as new. Good luck.

ah its all good. no worries. one question tho. do you think i can use an extra set of front pannels in the rear if i cut them and weld them it? their close enough to work arnt they?
