I changed out the CAD vacuum control with the cable posi loc and it does not stay engaged for very long. This can get old on a commute. I have found others who posted this problem and I have had it happen a few times the last couple years. Has anyone come up with a fix for this? It is adjusted correctly, the cable just slips in, and I can see no reason for it.

When I first installed my posilok it popped back and bent the pin on the end of the cable. I took the clip off that stopped the fork from moving all the way over the inboard axle and this seemed to work for a few years but this year my posilok just pops off. I really don't know why it does this. I realize there is not much holding that cable in place but why do the axles push the collar back off the inner axle? I am tempted to build something that holds the collar over both axles permanantley.

I also wondered if the splines on the collar get worn out from slipping off the axles and make it easier for the collar to slip off later?

I think the whole design of the CAD is rediculous. it uses little plastic pads that wear out and the pin that holds the fork is too small and bends rendering your 4X4 useless. Posi lok is good but the lock/threads on the cable dont have the strength to hold the fork in engaged. I kinda think if it did have the strength it might bend the pin on the end of the cable?

Well I guess I just raised more questions for you ... Sorry

The install is straightforward, It has been a couple years since I installed it, but I don't remember any issues other then alignment being fun. I wrote to the Posi-lok company and all they said is to check the fork. Make sure it is all straight.
