They call it the Escalade EXT, and suprise. . . . It is just as ugly as a regular Avalache, only it costs a lot more. I never knew there was such a demand to spend money on plastic cladding and butt ugly styling.
They are both full of fluff,I cant believe anyone would shell out 50 K for the EXT. the blackwood is based on the F150 supercrew, not the exploder sport trac.
A friend of mine got an Avalanche. He said it's basically a Surbaban with the back end chopped off. He likes it. His has the big block Chevy engine. I suppose there is a market for it, for light hauling of furniture, etc. Ain't America great?
Personally, I don't see the point. If you want a vehicle that you can put people in and still haul stuff, get a CC PSD. I suspect, though, that these people will actually haul stuff infrequently enough that they could just pull a small utility trailer behind an excursion or suburban and probably be happier. However, that's one of the things that's great about living in America, people have a lot of choices on what to spend their $ on, whether or not it makes any sence to me at all. I'm sure that there are a lot of people out there that think I'm crazy to have all the bikes I do, so what? Makes me happy.
