Here I am

Calculate your "Climate Footprint" ... are you a polluter?

Any other Mac users on here?

Go to this site and click on the "Calculate Climate Footprint" and add in your info (miles you drive/mpg, kilowatt hours used, gas or oil used in home) and see

if your an EVIL polluter!!!

An animation will pop up depicting your contribution to "Global warming".

Me ... I'm an evil polluter ... a killer of humanity. I didn't pass the test. :D

What a crock!

I killed all the trees and the 1/2 flower that was left.

You'd have to live in a cave, eat bugs and wipe with leaves to make that thing be positive!

I thought trees and plants consumed carbon dioxide!

Your carbon footprint average is 69005 lbs. of carbon dioxide per year. (19303 lbs. from energy and 49702 lbs. from transportation. )

Hmmm... I think I'll plant a tree! :p

I cant help but think that is slightly off.

It's not accounting for the mighty Cummins. They arent accounting for the wood I burn for heat.

I dont know why they are pushing everybody to use less enegery when the major corps can grossly pollute and get away with it. The ammount our cars/trucks put out pale in comparison to what our industries do. Our industries pale in comparison to China in general.

What a joke. First I don't believe in Global warming, so I guess it doesn't apply to me. Hard for me to understand where all these scientist come up with this crap, just to keep their jobs. I guess since most of the cancer is in check, we need something else that we cant prove to soak the taxpayers out of more money.

Hey, that harsh tone you just used must have caused your metabolism to raise for a moment and your body gave off higher level of carbon dioxide unneccessarily! I'm turning you in to the greenie police! :-laf

I heard one time that mowing the yard creates carbon dioxide, guess I'll have to stop mowin the yard too, huh? Maybe let er grow and just make hay? Hey, more $$ for the bombs, like bigger smokin injectors..... :-laf :-laf :-laf That'll fix em.

I don't have to take the test to know I pollute with my truck and my tractors, not to mention my 13 horses and my boarders and all that gas passing they do. Guess I will just have to sell off all the equipment, shoot the critters and subdivide the property, move down to the Keys or someplace and drink Margarita's.

OK so if I drive 1 mile per month, use 1 KWH of electricity per month and burn 1 gallon of propane (hey, a guy's gotta BBQ) per month my "carbon footprint" goes like this:

Your carbon footprint average is 195 lbs. of carbon dioxide per year. (155 lbs. from energy and 40 lbs. from transportation. )

Now I don't claim to be a genius but electricity in Oregon comes from hydroelectric dams. How does generating 12 kwh of electricity with water and burning 12 gallons of propane create 155lbs. of CO2? 12 gallons of propane doesn't even weigh 155lbs. Their formulas are a little skiewed.

Yea and I didn't even mention the 12 miles per year that I put on the ol' Cummins. I reckon I could get 12 warm ups and 12 miles out of a gallon of fuel, does that not seem fair?

Greenie math:

Burning 1 gallon of diesel = 40lbs. of CO2 in the air.
