That is sad. Prayers and thoughts go out to that family. When I worked at Best Buy, we had a guy run out the door with a camcorder. Just so happens a few of us were right next to the door and thought it would be a good idea to chase the guy. Well, I chased him down on the freeway in my car. Eventually lost him. When I got back to the store, we all realized that wasnt the smartest thing to do... for obvious reasons. The LP manager, a good friend of mine today actually, talked to me later about it, and said that while our intentions were valid, our reason wasnt. He told me how he had worked security for Target in the past, and one day followed a shop lifter outside. He had taken one step out side the doors when a bullet hit the door next to his head. He said that was the last time he ever chased someone, no item on this planet is worth loosing your life over!
With that said, I would have been cheering them on, and laughing knowing at 1/4 tank, she would run empty leaving them sitting. To be honest, as wrong as it seems, I wish my truck would be stolen somedays.
