Competition 300.45, No breakage, how sweet it is..

Off Roading looking for opinions on soft ride susp.

I need some information. Seems that half the people I talk to say that 315's will still rub with Skyjacker D25's, and half say they clear fine.

I'm currently running 33x12. 50xR16. 5's and can make 'em rub with going through a ditch and turning but they fit lock to lock with like 1/2 an inch to spare.

However they are getting worn out and I'm wanting to downsize to 16" wheels for heavier rated tires. Also its looking like I'm not going to be pulling a gooseneck as much as I used to in the past so I'm seriously considering 315's because using goosenecks occasionaly has been the only thing to stop me from putting 35's on in the past. :(

Now that I've gotten away from the whole point of my post I'll ask my question  ... ...

Would you guys running 315's with the D25's that have minimal rubbing problems please post your rim width and backspacing.

Thanks,

Mark

Hi Mark,

I have the D25s and 305/70/16 tires. They rub on full lock manuvers around town unloaded. With that knowledge I know that I will have to be very careful off road in Baja with the cabover loaded on the back.

Be aware that a suspension and tire combo that works fine in town (doesn't rub) may act very different when subjected to off road manuvers. What seemed to work fine in town can bend a fender, shred a tire, etc... off road.
