Wow, I find it hard to believe that your post has been up for four days and not one reply.

Maybe a lot of people are like I was about a year ago, thinking that I should be able to live my life peaceably without having to get involve in politics, which I hate. But now things have gotten to the point where I realize that donating my time and effort to events like this one are more important for the defense of our liberties than was my time in the Marine Corps. No I don't like taking time on the weekend to attend a protest, but if not me then who. Don't let that day come when your kids are explaining to your grandkids that people used to be able to own guns and were able to protect themselves but not any longer. This is about retaining or losing liberty. People that think they don't have a dog in this fight are dead wrong. The statists take our liberty by dividing us, knowing that those without a direct interest will not fight on the issue. But think about this, if they can ban guns they can confiscate any truck that is more than 12 years old to protect clean air.

I'll get off the soap box now and take the heat from those that disagree.

A 4 hour one way ride for me tomorrow is just not possible... . I don't disagree.

And yes they already have banned older trucks.

"Whereas, The Port of Los Angeles' landmark Clean Truck Program banned the use of truck models
older than 1994 within the terminals and combined business-friendly subsidies and incentives to help put over
6,000 new emissions-compliant vehicles on the road, reducing truck pollution in the region by 70 percent; and
Whereas, The Port of Los Angeles also required trucking companies to employ their drivers directly
by 2013 instead of using them as independent contractors; and... ... "

We had real good turn out in Oregon and Washington. In Oregon we made all 4 local news stations and not one of them said anything bad about us. Depending on which one you watched we had 1000 to 3000 at the Oregon Capital. Washington did better they had 4000 but they are a lot closer to more big cities. Not one POLITICIAN showed up in Oregon. But what would one expect when every one we have is a DEMOCRAP. Oh well it was fun met lots of people and heard lots of views. Overall nation wide they had turn outs in 49 of the 50 states. Hawaii was the only hold out.

Went to the rally at the Capital in Olympia. Couple thousand people were there when I was--I left a bit early and heard the crowd grew.

Had some interesting political speakers---sounds like our 2nd Amendment rights are not as in danger in WA state as the yuppies in King County would like them to be.

Still a long way to go, though.

Guess who couldn't go. Me! I woke up Saturday morning at 3:30 with a migraine that lasted all day and all night. Migraines really stink, but especially when they cause you to miss an event you're looking forward to. Denver had a pretty good showing though.
