CALLING ALL 2003 - 2005 OWNERS who want better lighting...

Ya something to make the lights look more like they belong on higher end automobiles. Not necessarly HID, but the backround of the lights

After reading all the posts on design etc. there is one major design detail that you may want to consider incorperating.

For all us folks who live in snow and ice climates the new lights should be capable being easily kept clean and not build up under normal conditions with snow and ice.

The present set up although you can't see worth a tinkers with them are very easy to get the ice and snow off of. As you can gently tap the plastic lans and it will flex enough to break the ice loose.

But I guess if nit come to grit I'd rather spend a bit more time fussing with thew snow and ice issue to see where I'am going a whole lot better.

I would be very interested in the new system for my 03.

I have 7" round E-code lights on my jeep and had them on my old chevy. Great light and I don't blind anyone. Never had anyone flash theirs highs at me or been hassled by law enforcement. Unfortunately our government is too stubborn to accept the european standard.



As pricey as these new lights are, I would be first in line for a set if they're half as good as I think they'll be.



I love my Lightforce auxiliary lights, but face it, I can't use them for 95% of my driving. Something thats gonna help me out everyday, yes thats worth it.

I want more light out front to, but like the STOCK LOOK and shape. Like the old sport lights, same housings basicly, just twice as much light.

Like my old K5, no point in having them all if they all don't light, brite box it is... Not sure I'll be able to afford them right away, but sure do want them. For what it's worth, toyota has always had their lights right, my 96 Avalon had the brightest lights of anything I've ever driven. Find out how they did it, it can't be that hard.

Don't forget the OEM side marker is a DOT thing. Should be interesting to see how they look!

I have done several hid conversions on vehicles and motorcycles. . the latest to my KLR650 motorcycle, which has twin 9 inch HIDs on it with internal ballasts. . that cost me 500. 00 and about 5 hours fab time



I would pay about 600. 00 for a plug and play set for the dodge... obviously this price would be after they were out and the manufacturer had recouped some of their investment... theres so many light options out there today the market is VERY competitive

I have a Sylvania Xenarc HID headlight in my 01 Yamaha Roadstar. They don't make the kit anymore, but it works awsome... I really can't wait for these new headlights. I hate the floodlight like pattern, light just goes everywhere... If you have ever driven a BMW with the Bi-Zenon HID headlights, then you know what a huge improvelent properly focused HID lights make. I would settle for halogen heaglights, just want a much more focused beam pattern, and prefferably seperate low and high beams.



An LED based daylight running lamp would be nice as well...

I would like to be kept informed on this project. The candle lanterns that Dodge puts on these trucks would be a joke if they were not so important in keeping the dirty side down.

Those lights are illeagal in U. S. now they shoot a lot of bad light around.

What p-Bar said is true. I did allot of research on those kits a while back and all of them are sold for "Off-Road" use only. Doesn't make since with all the off road lamps available today to allow them to sell these but they get away with it as long as they sneak in a disclaimer somewhere.



I put the new 9007 Sylvania Ultra's in our Jeep and would be embarrassed to use anything brighter in the OEM housings. I may try them in the Ram.

Thats the whole point of the interest in better lighting here. If it was as simple as just adding more wattage we'd do it and wouldn't even be considering spending $600.

Not worth the money.



Without properly designed optics (lenses and reflectors) the beam pattern is terrible. It's much more complicated than just adding HID capsules to a stock system.



I spent plenty of time and money trying to get this to work in a variety of vehicles, but it just doesn't.

The manufacturer is in the design process as we speak. It will be somewhat time consuming as they are committed to doing this right. "Quality over Quantity" is the name of the game. They will not release a product that doesn't meet all regulations and is not a clearly superior product. As soon as I receive updated information or material, I will pass it along.
