CALLING ALL 2003 - 2005 OWNERS who want better lighting...

I get flashed all the time on low beams... Couldn't tell you on high beams as they are worse than my low beams with fogs.

Funny you should ask. My '03 is getting ready to turn 100K and I have been running bright lights only for the last 60,000 miles. How many cars have blinked at me to dim 'em? Not the first one!

Did you do a level kit? I know my sons truck was leveled by the previous owner and the lights were way off. . just shining out into the air and not on the road.

Aimed correctly the lows come up pretty short for down road distance and are easily over driven which is why I thought to try the highs in traffic.

Didnt know there was a difference between 03-05. . There should be plenty of junkyard 05 housings if its that much of a difference.

I do have a level kit. But my lights are properly aimed, they put the light where it needs to be. The high's are just too washed out with the OE lens, fo my taste.

Quite frankly, I didn't think about a wrecking yard housing for an '05. Might be worth checking a Dodge dealer's parts shop to see if they're different from an '03. If they're different but still fit, that might be the fix.

I know it's been covered before but there is a device called a "Bright Box" that will keep your low beam on while the highs are on which to me is the best solution for the poor high beam. Also available is the "FLC" version whish will turn on the fogs along with the low and high beam, then of course you can also upgrade the fog bulbs with the fogzilla conversion.

Of course this still doesn't give you a great or even good high beam but at least you won't end up with less light on high beam than low beam anymore.

Correct, it has been posted before. I have the Brite Box, and while I like it for spreading more light around the front of the truck, it doesn't do anything for down the road where hazards are waiting. What's needed is a reflector that projects light DOWN THE ROAD, not up close to the truck. I have been driving for years with every light I've got on bright and not once has anyone blinked at me to dim 'em. That's proof enough to me we've got a problem in this area that can't be fixed. Too bad DC hasn't responded, but there you are. #@$%!
