I think your transformer/12k combo with the stock bumper is actually heavier than a dor bumper with the 12k.
I have jacked up my truck by the bumper a number of times and the bumper is rock solid. I have even hooked a hoist to it to lift the whole front end of the truck off the ground when installing my skyjacker springs.

This is not something I do on a regular basis but it worked like a charm when we realized that we did not have enough range in the floor jacks to lift the truck from the frame.
