Thought I'd get this going over here where it belongs, rather than on that transmission thread.

So, to get everyone up to speed:

I've got a Viper and bring on the Supra any day! Tell me when and where... Rice Rockets are just that. . Rice...

KLockliear said:
Hasselbach, where do you live? We're in Vegas and LOVE guys like you.

hasselbach said:
Eastern and Flamingo, East LV. Bring Rice, our Vipers are on a high starch diet!

KLockliear said:
Well, since I think there is little chance of Hasselbach ever wanting to run the Toyota now that you guys have scared him off, here's the video of my buddies car on the dyno: Supra on dyno video

KLockliear said:
I would say let's do this, but I don't think you will.

hasselbach said:
Yeah, well, I am just finishing up a few bugs with the programing for the twin turbos. . So far, best pull has been 1150 hp, with a lean condition that we are working to correct with the fuel mapping, it sounded like crap, and still pulled a pretty good number. Turbos are so efficient on the top end its causing a big rise in the fuel curve that we are working to correct. We'd estimate over 1250 to 1300hp when finished, and thats at a very conservative 20 psi and pump gas. I doubt the rice rocket made anywhere close to that on pump fuel... should be finished in a week or so, and when I show up, I don't want any crap about wanting cars or a few seconds head start. Its run what ya brung brother. . I'd even race the Supra for pinks, but what on earth am I going to do with a Ricer in my shop??? My god, maybe I could give it to my 16 year old daughter. .

Well, we figgered it'd have to be a TT kit to run with the Toyota... and so it is. He's still doing his own tuning, so maybe we'll have a run soon.

Maybe the other guys here have your roused up, but don't take it the wrong way man. I like all these fast toys - we're just out to have some fun. Thought you dropped off the map after not responding to the last few posts there.

Let me know when you got it pretty well done and we'll hook up for some fun. I'd assume the 80 on thing is in your game plan too?

hasselbach said:
Not off the map, just busy with work and hobbies. . The Viper project has been consuming a lot of time and dyno pulls. It takes more to rouse me up than this web page. Oo.

2 questions. Is the paint on that Supra fairly well applied? And, do the doors latch well?

I am concerned I might suck off a bad paint job and blow a few doors off when we get this race thing off. . Paint has a nasty habit of fouling spark plugs :D

Oh yeah, my daughter is so excited about her first new car, I just told her that she has to park the Supra down the street from the house. . :{

KLockliear said:
It's all about the fun and the speed. Sure sounds like you are confident about your car. With all that bragging lets step it up- We're ready to run tonight where do you want to meet? we have got two cars lined up one is an automatic and out of gear 165mph will run you from 20mph to there. If thats to slow of a start for ya, the other is a six speed and will run you from 80mph to????? ( How fast will it go?) PM me with phone # and we will set it up.

hasselbach said:
Motor is actually on the dyno tonight, doing some more testing. .

hasselbach said:
I'll post some pictures of me and the two cars after we get this race over with. In case some of you don't know what a Supra looks like, it's the car that has the doors sucked off and big chunks of paint missing on the quarter panels... :--)

KLockliear said:
It's a bunch of talk when you can't show up. :{ :{ :{ :{

hasselbach said:
Haha, had I known you had something planned, I wouldn't have rented the dyno time. . maybe next week. Just make sure the doors are bolted on tight...

KLockliear said:
Well, I guess we'll see. BOTH of the Supras here in town that will whoop up on that thing are running, and ready to go. Just PM me when you're ready for your schoolin' Hasselbach. :D

And finally, this is where we are at:

BIG BOB said:
Keith,

hasselbach is all talk! He blows smoke in every post he has ever made. He'll never show! All BS! :-laf

hasselbach said:
nice post Big Bob or Big Mouth, you feel better?

Boys, I'm outa this post, I've got too much to do with too many projects to play your games. As soon as the motor is in the Viper, I'll let you know. . Maybe Big Mouth and a few others will show up too with their toys to back up their mouths. . (better ask mom for permission to be out past midnight)

Trust me, been street racing too long to worry about the outcome. . Been there many times, and I've learned the mouth horse power is always more than what the car puts to the ground. .

Later, I've got some fuel mapping to do. .

If we don't get the Viper done for a few weeks, I'll gladly run ya in my old camaro. . The only condition is, no trailering out to the run area (there is a nice straight road near the track at the north end of town off the 15, about 5 miles long). I've driven the camaro out there, radar'd a few top end runs, and drove back to town. . PM me if you want to see the slips. . She kinda makes the viper look anemic. There is a top speed challange coming up soon in north nevada if any of you have the balls to do it. 3 miles full out, all sanctioned and legal. Cars must have roll bars and drivers wear suits. Run what ya brung. .

BIG BOB said:
Now he's changing boats, from a Viper to a Camaro!

So, after all the talk, Hasselbach's car isn't even together. The motor is out on an engine dyno? 1250-1300 at the FW - you better pack your lunch to catch the 1034hp at the REAR WHEEL Toyota. LOL

I talked to the Supra guys - ANY TIME, ANY PLACE, for ANY AMOUNT OF MONEY. They will handle shooting video of it (you're welcome to shoot your own of course), and will provide it after the fact, here on the board. No excuses, just PUT UP OR SHUT UP.

20psi on pump gas gonna make that power? I don't think so. Like you said, run whatcha brung and hope you brung enough. You've talked a lot of trash about the little 3 litre motors, so lets see you back it up.

Honestly, we DOUBT the car even exists in that form. We're fairly plugged in to the hi-end performance guys here in town, and to have something like that be around and us not know about it is rare. So how about a meet and greet sometime - just to view your toy/prove it exists?

Oh, and since all the trash talking was about the Viper, we'll just run that. The drag Camaro looks interesting enough, but lets not change the subject. I'm sure we could all one-up each other with "my friends car" or "my other car" or whatever.

And the last thing, you mentioned an all out race in northern NV... which one are you talking about? Silver State Classic with the 1/2 mile and 1 mile standing mile shootouts?

This will be fun...

I would suggest taking it to a sanctioned race track. I sure that allot of members and guests reading the boards would like to attend. And as everyone knows groups of people bring attention, and attention brings the police...

Justin-

i kinda feel bad that we butchered that other guys transmission thread But man this hasselbach guy just seems so freakin ignorant thinking his viper will kill anything.

If he seriously thinks he can even put up a fight against dana or garths supras he has another thing coming. I have a vid of dana's (virtual works) supra spanking a hayabusa. Time to make some money, I got $500 that the supra spanks H's turd, anyone want that bet :-laf :-laf

The Hennesy's Vipers are mean, but the lingenfelter vetes are just nasty!!!

All the reponses and big talk makes me wonder if Hasselbach even has a viper.

The camaro looks like it was pulled of someones website...

My buddies that have the Supra's are in the "We're gonna have to see it to even believe you have the car" frame of mind. Their cars are running NOW and ready to go.

FD, the auto car we have lined up is a local guy named Daniel. It's not as quick as Dana's, as it's a street car (I'd say daily driver, but he usually drives one of his other toys - Ferrari, CL65, etc). The manual car is Garths.

You should post a link to this thread in the 3rd gen forums, I am sure many would be interested in seeing how this turns out.

Edit. . I did not see the link that was already there.

Why all the runs going to be from a roll? A race should be from a dig. Any street Supra or Viper I have ever seen all just sit and spin from a dig. Supras are very fast as well as Vipers, but someones always faster than you, no matter what you are driving (Supras and Vipers included) . No one should feel unbeatable, that's when someone will beat you. This fun reading though. :D

The auto supra will run from 20mph, but the manuals with big power will just spin down low. I figger the turbo viper will do the same, so it becomes much more of a "race" if you run where they run good. 80mph or so and they only spin for a few hundred feet.

I'll race either Supra or the Viper for pink slips with my stock 2003 Dodge Ram 4x4. I pick the track ... :-laf :-laf :-laf

Uhhh, what website is this again ... .

Personally, I'd love to see A Viper win. HOWEVER, because HassleBach is such a condescending pile to every member on this board, I've got a hun on the Yota ... ..... :D

im with rusty. cool talk and it would be great to see. Big numbers from both cars. Races like this never happen. One for the spank-bank.
